Dolphin StadiumBeginning with the inaugural 1935 game, Orange Bowl Stadium played host to the first 60 Orange Bowls. But as the game grew in popularity and the stadium in age, it became clear that it was time for a change in venues. Starting in 1995, the Orange Bowl wouldn't be playing in Orange Bowl Stadium anymore. Ground was broke on Dolphins Stadium on December 1, 1985. Ten years later, the $300-million facility would begin hosting the Orange Bowl. Dolphins Stadium also is home to the Miami Dolphins of the NFL and Major League Baseball's Florida Marlins. Formerly known as Joe Robbie Stadium, Pro Player Park and most recently Pro Player Stadium, Dolphins Stadium has hosted three Super Bowls and two World Series.
