College Bowl Tickets

Thirty games in three holiday-filled weeks. For college football fans, the bowl season truly is the most wonderful time of the year. While the BCS critics cry for a playoff, the traditionalists counter by saying the regular season's drama works just fine. From the opening New Orleans Bowl to the "Granddaddy of the Bowls," the Rose Bowl, college football's postseason is one of a kind, which makes bowl game tickets the perfect stocking stuffer for your favorite fan.

With the NCAA's elite programs and their fans traveling across the country, the bowl season consistently produces unique match-ups at venues uncommon to the constraints of the regular season. Last year, the Texas Longhorns and Michigan Wolverines, two of college football's most storied programs, met for the first time at the Rose Bowl. Heisman Trophy candidate Vince Young led the Longhorns to a dramatic victory over the Wolverines. Now the slick Texas quarterback is back in Pasadena for the 2006 BCS National Championship Game. Young and the Longhorns will be trying to take down the defending champion USC Trojans, led by their Heisman tandem of Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush.

The "Granddady of them all," the Rose Bowl combines with the Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl and Sugar Bowl to form the Bowl Championship Series. A fifth game will be added to the BCS in 2006. The conference champions from the Pac 10, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, ACC and SEC receive automatic bids, with the remaining two slots being filled by top-ranked at large teams. The BCS Championship Game rotates between each of the four bowls. The Trojans rocked the Oklahoma Sooners in last year's BCS Championship Game at the Orange Bowl.

The bowl season kicks off way before the BCS gets going, though. Some of last year's most thrilling finishes and biggest upsets came in December. The Texas Tech Raiders stunned the BCS-shunned California Golden Bears in the Holiday Bowl. In the 2004 Liberty Bowl, the Louisville Cardinals and Boise State Broncos combined to score 84 points. Wyoming also pulled off a shocker by knocking off the UCLA Bruins in the Las Vegas. Which bowl game will host a historic upset this season? Find out by reserving your bowl tickets today.
